STUDIO POLICIES

Private lessons are given once a week, and last for a total of 45 minutes. This includes 30 minutes with Mrs. Oddo at the piano, plus 15 minutes on the computer using music software.

Please come to all lessons prepared and on time. Lesson times will not be extended for tardiness. Bring all books, notebooks and recital pieces to every lesson (including group lessons).

It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure their child's safety until they are inside the doors of the studio. Creative Keyboards cannot watch your child as they enter or exit the studio.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch any lesson.

Practice at home is very important! What is learned at the studio must be reinforced at home every day. Encourage your child to enjoy playing the piano each day.

Practice requirements are as follows:

1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th grades: 30 minutes each day, six days per week.

5th, 6th , 7th and 8th grades: 45 minutes each day, six days per week

9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades: 60 minutes each day, six days per week

Students who accomplish the practice requirements are rewarded with the "Treasure Box" weekly and honored with their picture on the board monthly.

To ensure correct hand position, fingernails must be kept short.

Creative Keyboards requires each new student to have an acoustic piano in their homes.

Tuition in the amount of $125.00 is due on the first lesson of every month. A $5.00 late charge will be added if the tuition is not paid by the 10th of the month.

Make up lessons will be given only if the child is ill, and a phone call is given at least 2 hours in advance of the lesson time. Family emergencies and other emergencies will be taken into consideration. Make up lessons will not be given for any other reason. Tuition is not refunded for missed lessons, nor will it be deducted from the following month's lesssons.
